# How to film your golf swing on your own

**Short answer**Set the phone at hand height. For down-the-line, put it behind you on your target line; for face-on, square to your chest. Keep it far enough back to see the club at the top, and use slow motion.

* **Down the line:** behind your hands, pointing at the target. Shows swing plane.
* **Face on:** square to your chest. Shows weight shift and ball position.
* **Height:** roughly hand height, not ground level.
* **Distance:** far enough that the club head never leaves the frame.
* **Start without walking back:** a hand signal or clap starts recording in Music Wide Selfie (Premium); Apple Watch Director lets you start and check the shot from your wrist (Crown).
